The Castlebrook Farm Estate utilized our custom stone in every way imaginable. There was a wishing well with hand-carved vines, a swimming pool with hand-carved vines that had water cascading down in a way that would rival any historical Roman architectural feature.
Almost every element of this project was custom-designed, with the homeowner playing an intricate part in the design process. Many elements started as hand sketches, were refined with our input, and then fabricated into a truly unique piece of art.
The Castlebrook Farm Estate project, in Virginia, began as a web lead. The builder, Builder Fish, reached out to us for information on stair and balustrade capabilities. Over the next several years, we worked closely with the builder, homeowner, designer, and architects to design and fabricate mockups for a number of elements on this project, including architectural elements inside and outside of the house, flooring, mosaics, moldings, stairs, hardscapes, and waterjet mosaics.
In life, we are often presented with projects that allow us to exercise our creative freedom, to have fun, and stretch the imagination. Perhaps even challenge us to utilize all that we've got. We had the pleasure of working on an estate in Virginia that was perfect for us in that it allowed us to do what we do best - custom carve stone.
