Spanish Renaissance Meets Contemporary Design At The University Of San Diego

The Knauss Center For Business Education

MATERIAL is honored to have worked with The University of San Diego (USD) on the renovation of their new 120,000-square-foot Knauss Center for Business Education. The building, with its unique blend of breathtaking Spanish and modern influences, is a great example of the stunning architecture found in San Diego.

To keep the essence of the University’s heritage, while elevating existing elements of Spanish Renaissance style, we used Riviera Beige throughout the project to create exquisite curved archways, fabricated cladding and and custom columns. This limestone has elegant veining, with ivory and beige tones, making it perfect for any interior or exterior application.

The relationship between a craftsman, architect, and client is always a valuable one. At Material, our master artisans have been delivering the very best in world-class stone, glass and ceramic tile since 1965. For more information on Riviera Beige or to learn more about what MATERIAL has to offer, contact us by phone or visit one of our showrooms across the US.
